Dogs must work the end of the treat for hours, softening it with their mouths before small parts of it can be slowly chewed off. When you dog chews near the end of the treat and it is reduced to a size you we do not recommend your dog swallow, take the remaining piece and place it in the microwave for approximately 30 seconds (time will vary depending on the microwave and size of the treat) watch it puff up into a crunchy porous treat. Once it is cooled your dog will be able to crunch it up like eating a hard biscuit.
