These scissors have a raised Topaz ball bearing screw for adjustable tension. Our groomer recommends: Thinner scissors for dogs with a thick and dense coat. When you want to thin the coat but also keep it looking natural, you should place your thinners facing up deep into their coat near the skin and scissor a couple of times, then comb through the area.
